pawenn summary of 14 Google reviews from April – October 2026
The majority of reviewers praise Dr. Cohen's direct, no-fluff approach and genuine compassion — several describe him as the reason they drive past closer veterinary options. Clients report he saved their pets' lives and that the whole team treats animals with empathy and care. One difficult loss was handled with professionalism and dignity by the full staff.
Most reviewers describe excellent diagnostic and treatment results, including life-saving interventions. However, one long-standing client reports a serious wrong-procedure incident — a neutered senior cat given anesthesia for a spay procedure — which resulted in the pet's death. This is an outlier but a significant concern among recent reviews.
Reviewers describe staff as genuinely caring toward animals, with multiple owners noting that their pets — including senior cats and difficult-to-handle dogs — are handled gently and with patience. The team's passion for animals comes through clearly in reviews spanning multiple years of care.
Several reviewers mention being seen quickly for urgent situations, including bite wounds and acute illness.
Yes, at least one reviewer arranged cremation through the clinic after an unexpected loss and found the process handled professionally.
Reviewers suggest appointments are available, though first-time callers report difficulty reaching the clinic by phone.
