pawenn summary of 8 Google reviews from April – October 2026
Dr. Roman Skala receives glowing recommendations from longtime clients for knee ligament surgery and orthopedics. At the same time, recent reviews contain serious complaints regarding other attending veterinarians, with allegations of rough handling of exotic birds, communication breakdowns, and perceived lack of care.
Orthopedic interventions for canine joint injuries show strong outcomes with high owner satisfaction. Conversely, grave dissatisfaction is voiced by a cat guardian who reported a fatal medical complication during emergency intervention on an elderly cat, urging greater diagnostic caution.
While orthopedic procedures are considered reasonably priced by satisfied clients, other visitors criticize excessive costs for brief consultations and nail trimming. Reviewers also express unease about instances where immediate cash payments were firmly prioritized over card processing.
Clients specifically praise Dr. Skala for intricate orthopedic procedures and knee ligament repairs in dogs.
Clients visit with parrots and birds, although recent feedback on avian handling has been controversial.
Reviews suggest preparing cash, as clients report that cash payments have been specifically requested.
