pawenn summary of 13 Google reviews from October 2024 – October 2026
Most dog owners praise groomers Victoria, Austin, and Katherine at this Preston Road salon for their friendly service and honest coat care advice, such as explaining why double-coated breeds should not be shaved. However, one longtime client reported a rude phone call with the owner over a deposit policy.
Dog owners consistently praise the grooming quality, highlighting neat breed cuts on Cairn Terriers and Aussies, thorough brush-outs for heavy shedding, short nail clipping, and skin-exfoliating hydrotherapy baths. In contrast, one cat owner was deeply unhappy, alleging unwashed tools caused a ringworm infection.
Many longtime clients trust the team with multiple dogs over the years, noting that even challenging pets are well cared for and come home happy. While one cat owner reported a serious health issue after a visit, dog owners consistently say their pets enjoy seeing their groomers.
Yes, the salon works by appointment, though one reviewer noted being accommodated on short notice for a birthday groom.
According to client feedback, the salon charges a deposit if a dog has not visited within the past six to eight weeks.
In addition to standard baths, breed haircuts, brush-outs, and nail clipping, clients mention upgrading to hydrotherapy baths for skin exfoliation, as well as overnight kennel boarding.
Opinions are mixed: several regular clients consider the pricing fair and worth the cost, while others find the rates steep or note a deposit requirement.
